Artist: Primus
Album: Sailing The Seas Of Cheese
Song: Jerry Was A Race Car Driver

Guitar transcribed by CAM.

Like in American Life, this song uses volume alot for the
car sounds. I'll mark increased volume like this: v>
Play along with the song to know when to play verse,
chorus and intro riff. Good luck with the solo!

h =hammer on
p =pull off
b =bend string up
/ =slide up
\ =slide down
v =vibrato
x =muted string strike
w =whammy

Intro:
e------------------------------------------------------------
B---x-------------x------------------------------------------
G---x-6/7--5\-----x-6/7--5\----------------------------------
D---x-6/7--5\-----x-6/7--5\----------------------------------
A---x-------------x------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

Repeat this riff as necessary: (intro riff)
e------------------------------------------------------------
B----------16----16--------15----15----15--------------------
G--/14--14----14----14--13----13----13----13-----------------
D------------------------------------------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

For car sounds, increase volume, then use your whammy bar to
decrease the pitch.

Car Sounds:

D---16w---|---14w---|---15w---|---13w---|---13w---|----------
A---------|---------|---------|---------|---------|----------

Repeat chorus riff as many times necessary.
Chorus:

D------7-x--7-0h7-------0-----7-7-7--0-7----7\---------------
A------0-x--------------------0------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

Intro riff, then car sounds, then chorus, then intro riff.

Repeat as necessary.

Fast fingers are a must.

A------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

e--17-----15-------------------------------------------------
B----15h16--16---15b\----------------------------------------
G-------------17-14b\----------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

Then to a chorus, an intro riff, car sounds, a bridge, then
play this to the drum beat 4 times:

e------------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------------------
G--4-4-4-4-4-4-4--4--4---------------------------------------
D--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3--3---------------------------------------
A--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2--2---------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, a bridge to end the song.
That's about it.

I think he uses heavy screamer old school distort pedals and a sustain pedal. I'm going to tell you the truth, who knows what anyone is using unless it comes from their own mouth. For Tommy the Cat, all Les uses is a single distort pedal, and its like nearly turned off. They get inside your head man, and then they try and make you think they are doing something crazy, and then you figure them out, and then they actually tell you they where doing something crazy and it blows your idea out of the water. Its madding.
