I Appear Missing - Queens Of The Stone Age
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed by: LeFlo
Tuning: Standard EADGBe
Nice overdrive, reverb, neck pickup. Take care to have a similar sound on
Guitar 1 and 2, which will give the desired cutting "choir-y" effect during the chorus.

!! 8th note Shuffle feel !!

Please watch my cover for more explicit timing, rhythm, etc.

Only covers the 3-minute album version. Check out other tabs for the second part
of the song.

GUITAR 2 (Troy Van Leeuwen)

Guitar Intro: Actually Troy only plays this from Verse 2. But you could also play
it right from the beginning
if there is no keyboard to play the higher-pitched riff.

B|----------------|-------------|----------------|-----------------|
G|----------------|-------------|----------------|-----------------|
D|-------11----11\|9-------9----|--------13------|--------14----14\|

D|11-----11----11\|9-------9----|--------13----13\|9---9-7---6~----|
A|---7--7---7-----|----7-----7--|--10--10--10-----|----------------|
E|----9------9----|--9---9----9-|11--11------11---|---7------------|

If you want GUITAR 2 to replace the keyboard, here you go:

Keyboard intro:

e|-------9-----9\|7------7-----|--------11-------|--------12----12\|
B|---------------|-------------|-----------------|-----------------|
G|---9--9--9-----|----9----9---|--12--12--12--12-|--13--13--13-----|
D|-11-11----11---|--11-11---11-|13--13------13---|14--14------14---|
A|---------------|-------------|-----------------|-----------------|
E|---------------|-------------|-----------------|-----------------|

e|-------9-----9\|7------7-----|--------11----11\|7---7------------|
B|---------------|-------------|-----------------|------10---9~----|
G|---9--9--9-----|----9----9---|--12--12--12-----|-----------------|
D|-11-11----11---|--11-11---11-|13--13------13---|--9--------------|
A|---------------|-------------|-----------------|-----------------|
E|---------------|-------------|-----------------|-----------------|

*Intro: Keyboard Intro x1

*Verse 1: Keyboard Intro x1

*Transition (same as GUITAR 1) x2

*Chorus 1 (same as GUITAR 1)

*Play Transition x2

*Pre-Verse 2: Normally nothing here, but I octave down the bends of GUITAR 1 and you can
also add some oriental-sounding fills.

*Verse 2: play Guitar Intro x2

*Play Transition x2

*Pre-Chorus 2:

e|------------------|------------------|
B|------------------|------------------|
G|---6-----6----6---|------------------|
D|---7-----7----7---|-11-11-91111-119--| < these are 11's, not 1's
A|-0-----9-----7----|-11-11-91111-119--|
E|------------------|-9--9--79-9--9-7--|

*Chorus 2 (same as GUITAR 1)

*Play Transition x2

*Outro:

e|--------------------------|
B|--------------------------|
G|-----99----99----99---9---| x4 and end on C#m chord
D|---0-----0-----0-----0-00-|
A|--------------------------|
E|-9-----9-----9-----9------|

Great tab and vid on youtube.
I think in guitar 2 intro, 2nd and 5th bar 7 and 9 on E and A string are reversed. (I wish I could figure out how to use tab correction)

Also, the intro sounds an octave higher so I think maybe the intro on version 1 might be correct.
