One Day I'll Fly Away

Written by Joe Sample (Music) and Will Jennings (lyrics). As performed by Randy Crawford.

Note: For the Moulin Rouge!/Nicole Kidman version, you need to tweak a bit.
I might transpose that one another time.

You're close. There's part of the instrumental which uses the verse phrases transposed to Bb (Ebmin)... Then it transposes to F (Bbmin) with the run up to F.

In the bridge, the chords on the second line are Bb F Dmin A7 Dmin.

As for what key it's in, I don't think the song even knows.

I've actioned this, finally. Let me know what you think, I've taken your advice and have fleshed it out a bit, having re-listened as I've worked through it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll make the changes once the tab gets assigned to my proper account.

As to the key of the song, in typical Joe Sample style, "keys? we don't need to stinkin' keys". It's technically in only two keys, strictly speaking, but from even the changes, it does meander, but that's what you get with songs written on jazz premises, even if they're not strictly jazz songs.
