Red Hot Chili Peppers - Get On Top
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed by: Anthony C (rhcp_guitarist at Ultimate Guitar)
Email:pantallicametal666@hotmail.com
Tuning: standard (low to high - eadgbe)
Intro/Verse...w/ distorted wah wah pedal
e|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------|
D|--------5-----------5------------5-----------5-----|
A|-7-----------7-----------7------------7------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|
Just put in the wah-wah timing yourself....its very
straight forward, just a few wahs to each note.
Repeat this riff Until the chorus.

Chorus...Clean
e|-------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------|
G|--2-2-5-5------0-2-5-5------2-2-5-5------0-2-5-5-|
D|-------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------|
("Complications of a Mastermind")
Play this 4 and a half times, then play:

End of Chorus...clean
e|-5--5--5--5---|
B|-5--5--5--5---|
G|-4--4--4--4---|
D|-2--2--2--2---|
A|--------------|
E|--------------|

Now the Intro/Verse Again

And Now the Chorus Again

Interlude...Guitar 1: w/ clean wah wah
e|5----3----5----3-------3-----3----5--0--5--7-------------------|
B|6----1----6----1----3--1--3--1----6--1--6--8--10--13--1--333---|
G|7----0----7----0----3--0--3--0----7--2--7--9--10--12--2--444---|
D|7----2----7----2----3--2--3--2----7--2--7--9--10--12--2--444---|
A|5----3----5----3----1--3--1--3---*5--0--5--7--8---10--0--222---|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|
* = solo starts here
(Timing is a bit hard to work out, but just listen carefully)
And now the second guitar's solo that goes on top of those chords.
The Solo starts when the 1st guitar reaches its ninth chord (marked with a *)
Guitar 2: w/ an overdrive effect
e|--------------------5-8-5----8---10/12-8-8/10---12---13--15--12--141414-|
B|-5/10-8-6-6/8-----6-------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------|

Now just repeat the Intro/Verse until the End.

Thats it!Enjoy. -Anthony

The interlude seems a bit off, for the C chord, I'd play it like x,10,8,9,8,12. I'll see about the other chords later, my wah pedal died on me half way through, typically.

Oh yeah, the bit that you've put in here is the correct ending to the chorus, but why not update the tab?

I want to post or [tab]
