=======================================

[Intro]

      Em B

e|---------------2------3/4------------|
B|---------------3----------7-5-4------|
G|---------------3---------------------|
D|----2-2-2-2----3---------------------|
A|-----2-2-2-----2---------------------|
E|-0-------------2---------------------|

	  Em
He said, “Son,
		 B
Have you see the world?
		     A
Well, what would you say
	    	    Em
If I said that you could?
		A
Just carry this gun
		     Em
and you’ll even get paid.”
			    B
I said, “That sounds pretty good.”

	      Em
Black leather boots
	       B
Spit-shined so bright
		A
They cut off my hair
	      Em
but it looked alright
		  A
We marched and we sang
	      Em
We all became friends
		     B
As we learned how to fight

[chorus]
	  F#m
A hero of war
		     A
Yeah that’s what I’ll be
		Em
And when I come home
		         B
They’ll be damn proud of me
		F#m
I’ll carry this flag
		  A
To the grave if I must
			Em
Because it’s flag that I love
		  B
And a flag that I trust

		Em
I kicked in the door
	     B
I yelled my commands
		   A
The children, they cried
	      Em
But I got my man
	    A
We took him away
	        Em
A bag over his face
		       B
From his family and his friends

		  Em
They took off his clothes
	         B
They pissed in his hands
		A
I told them to stop
	       Em
But then I joined in
		 A
We beat him with guns
	           Em
And batons not just once
	       B
But again and again

[chorus]
	  F#m
A hero of war
		      A
Yeah that’s what I’ll be
	          Em
And when I come home
		        B
They’ll be damn proud of me
		F#m
I’ll carry this flag
	          A
To the grave if I must
		          Em
Because it’s flag that I love
	           B
And a flag that I trust

	Em
She walked
		    B
through bullets and haze
	 	A
I asked her to stop
		Em
I begged her to stay
		A
But she pressed on
		Em
So I lifted my gun
	     B
And I fired away

	Em
The shells
		    B
jumped through the smoke
	     A
And into the sand
			Em
That the blood now had soaked
	A
She collapsed
		   Em
with a flag in her hand
		B
A flag white as snow

[chorus]
	  F#m
A hero of war
		 A
Is that what the see
		E
Just medals and scars
		B
So damn proud of me
		  	F#m
And I brought home that flag
		A
Now it gathers dust
			E
But it’s a flag that I love
			B
It’s the only flag I trust

	  Em
He said, “Son,
		   B
have you seen the world?
		    A
Well what would you say,
		   Em
if I said that you could?”

Hey! First of all i wanna say that the song is great!
I fell in love with it since i first time heard it.
And i didnt expect the chords would appear here so fast.

But... I'm not sure... anyway 223332 is not the B-chord. ))
I guess there was supposed to be x23332. With this it sounds pretty good.

And Em has definetly to be replaced with E. Mabe not everywhere, but that's all i can say so far.
Nevertheless thanks to the tabber )
