I am 99% sure that this version is completely correct.
This song works way better on piano, but guitars should be able to handle it as well.
The right hand plays a D chord or some version of it almost the entire song.
Enjoy! :)

Verse:
(D Dadd2) 8x
E7 8x
Dadd2/G 4x
A 4x

Dance until we just can't
Clapping our hands to the songs
And get dancing around to the
Joyful sound that the band plays
As his smiling face just shines away
It's movin' through town as big as a train
April, May, June and July
We'll hang outside
August and February all the time
Talking are way through March
Hanging out always till this starts
Over and over again
You promise that it won't end
So I will try to find
A rhyme to thank you again

Chorus:
    D/G D
How I, I am not into
     D/B A
The idea of living without you
      D/G D
And I, I am not into
      D/B A
The idea of being without you
    D/G D
And no, well this won't be a sad song
D/B A G
There's gonna be claps and singing along
        D
Cause sad songs about now
  D/B A
Well, that would just feel wrong

Interlude
D Dm D Dm D Dm D Dm

Verse: (Same)
Beautiful colors that came for you
So this ones goes out to
The reds and yellows and blues
And of course I cant forget all
The beautiful colors
On the day that we first met
So I will never know
The right way to say thanks
For all the nights and days
You spend hanging out
That's what this is about

Chorus:
    D/G D
How I, I am not into
     D/B A
The idea of living without you
      D/G D
And I, I am not into
      D/B A
The idea of being without you
    D/G D
And no, well this won't be a sad song
D/B A G
There's gonna be claps and singing along
                D
'Cause you're there when you talk
  D/B A
and you're there not to stop and you're with me

Bm A G A
Everyone else is not

Chorus: (Single Chords this time)
    D/G D
So I, I am not into
     D/B A
The idea of living without you
      D/G D
And I, I am not into
      D/B
The idea.....
    D/G D
And no, well this won't be a sad song
D/B A G/B
There's gonna be claps and singing along
                D
'Cause you're there when you talk
  D/B A
and you're there not to stop and you're with me around

Repeat Chorus:
