                             WHERE'S MY THING? By Rush
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: UG User Superjuice7

Tuning: Standard

Here's my version of this very nice Rush Instrumental.

Opening Riff Opening Riff Part 2
e|-------------------------------------:|----------------------------------|
B|----7\5-5-5-x-x-7-x-x-7-x-x-7s5-5-5--:|----------------------------------|
G|----5\4-4-4-x-x-5-x-x-5-x-x-5s4-4-4--6|------Play this after every-------|
D|----7\5-5-5-x-x-7-x-x-7-x-x-7s5-5-5--:|-----Opening Riff.----------------|
A|-------------------------------------:|----------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------:|----0-1-2-3-----------------------|

Those chords dont have to be played on only those strings, meaning it
wouldn't hurt if you hit an open string or mute extra strings my accident.

Chorus(?) Chords Chorus Riff 1 Chorus(?) Chords Cont.
      E A G D C
e|----0--(0)--5--3--(3)--|--------10-7-(7)~~~----|-------------------------|
B|----0--(0)--5--3--(3)--|------8----------------|-------------------------|

D|----2--(2)--7--5--(5)--|-----------------------|----12--10--(10)---------|
A|----2--(2)--7--5--(5)--|-----------------------|----12--10--(10)---------|
E|----0--(0)--5--3--(3)--|-----------------------|----10--8---(8)----------|

Chorus Riff 2 Chorus(?) Chords Cont.
                                            B A
e|--------10-8-(8)-7-(7)-10-(10)~~~----|----7--5--(5)----------------------|
B|------8------------------------------|----7--5--(5)----------------------|
G|----7--------------------------------|----8--6--(6)----------------------|
D|-------------------------------------|----9--7--(7)----------------------|
A|-------------------------------------|----9--7--(7)----------------------|
E|-------------------------------------|----7--5--(5)----------------------|

IMPORTAN NOTE ON CHORUS CHORDS AND RIFFS: The the Chorus Chords and Riffs
are tabbed in order, but if you're going to play them, it'll be necessary
to cut the G short to play Chorus Riff 1 and cut the C short to play Chorus
Riff 2. Also, if you are going to play both the Chords and the Riffs,
playing the last two chords (B and A) won't be needed, since the last two
notes of Chorus Riff 2 (7 and 10 on the E String) are A and B, which takes
the place of the last two chords. If you're going to play this song in
concert, you're going to need to put those chords in overlays or something.

    Bridge(?)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------2---------------------------------2---------------------|
A|----------------------------------2-5-------------------------------0----|
E|----3-5---0-3-5-----0-3-5---0-3-5-----3-5---0-3-5-----0-3-5---0-3-5------|

e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------2---------------------------------------------------|
A|----2-5-------------------------------2-5--------------------------------|
E|--------3-5---0-3-5-----0-3-5---0-3-5------------------------------------|

This is pretty much all there is to this part, just dont forget that little
change to the pattern about 6 seconds in to this part.

    Solo(?)
e|----10--10-10---12--10--10-10----:|--------------------------------------|
B|----8---8--8----10--8---8--8-----:|--------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------8|----2-(2)~~~~~~-2-(2)~~~~~~-----------|
D|---------------------------------:|--------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------:|--------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------:|--------------------------------------|

e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------12-14h15p14p12---------------------|
G|----12-(12)~~~~--14--12b13----12-(12)----------------14b16-(16)~~~~~-----|
D|---------------------------14--------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

NOTE ON SOLO PART: You don't actually have to repeat that starting riff 8
times if you're going to play the solo. After the 4th repeat, the solo-type
thing starts. With the solo, I'm pretty sure that's not what Alex plays,
but it sounds pretty close to me. Just kind of jam for thost few seconds in
the area that I tabbed it.

    Alternative Opening Riff (Bassline)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--5-5-3-5--5-3---------5-5-3-5--5-3---------5-5-3-5--5-3-----------------|
E|---------------5-3-5-3--------------0-1-2-3--------------5-3-5-3---------|

e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------Drum-Fill-Here------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------|---------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------v---------------------------------------------------------|
A|-5-5-3-5--5-3-----5-5-3-5--5-3---------5-5-3-5--5-3---------5-5-3-5--5-3-|
E|-------------------------------5-3-5-3--------------0-1-2-3--------------|

I called this the Alt. Opening Riff (Bassline) is because if you listened
during the Opening Riff, this riff is what Geddy plays. Be sure to stop
during that drum fill.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON NEXT SECTION: The next section of the song of the Chorus,
but it sounds different. This is because everything is played a whole step
up. Basically play everything in the chorus, but two frets higher. That's
why I haven't tabbed it.

############################################################################
Now, here's how the song goes:

1) Opening Riff (With repeat before Opening Riff 2)
2) Chorus Chords and Riffs
3) Repeat Chorus Chords and Riffs after drum fill
4) Opening Riff (Ignore the repeat and go strait to playing the second part
of the Opening Riff)
5) Chorus Chords and Riffs
6) Repeat Chorus Chords and Riffs
7) Bridge
8) Solo
9) Alternative Opening Riff (Bassline on Guitar)
10) Chorus Chords and Riffs a Whole Step up (Play everything two frets
higher)
11) Repeat Chorus Chords and Riffs a Whole Step up
12) Chorus (No longer Whole Step up)
13) Bridge (Ignore litte switch up in the pattern this time)
############################################################################

NOTES ON THE SONG: When there is a question mark in parenthesis (?) after a
part of the song, it's just because I didn't know exactly what to call that
part of the song, so I just called it that. Also, BE SURE TO READ ALL THE
NOTES UNDER EACH SECTIONS TO LEARN ANY DETAILS.

Happy Playing!
