Curse of the Currents - Said the Whale
Tabbed by: pewpewguitar (Sean Andrea)
Email: seanrulez99@hotmail.com
Ok this is my 2nd tab, I just thought I'd give it a shot because it wasn't up here and
a good tune.
It's not 100% correct, but it sounds somewhat like what they play so here ya go. It's
a pick-then-strum song so just fiddle around with it and I'm sure you'll work it out.
Oh uh Capo on 3rd, but it sounds fine without one too. ENJOY
Am Em7 C F
Just fifteen miles from shore
Am Em7 C F
I lost the love that I had
Am Em7 C F
Slipped and fell into the cold
Am Em7 C F
Of the deep and the dark below
Am Em7 C F
Big wave, small boat
Am Em7 C F
We tipped, I froze
Am Em7 C F
My hands were ice, my feet were stone
Am Em7 C F
I could not throw the rope
E Am
I caught her eye as she dipped down with a wave
Am Em7 C F
I jumped in but I was too late
Am Em7 C F
Fighting with the currents of the Georgia Strait
Am Em7 C F
Fighting with the wind and the tide and the waves
Am Em7 C F
I lost my love that day
I touched her fingers as she breathed out my name
She smiled at me, I watched her fade away
To the deep and the dark of the underwave
To the Currents of the Georgia Strait
And here it's been ten years to the day
And here I'll sit for a hundred years and I'll wait
Till I see her smiling face
Come shining up through the waves
On the shore, in the rain I'll wait
Till I see my love again
I pray to God, I curse my luck, I question my faith
I curse my empty hearted fate
And I curse the wind and the tide and the waves
And I curse the currents of the Georgia Strait
Where I lost my love that day
Where I lost my heart
To the curse of the currents of the Georgia Strait
It's the curse of the currents of the Georgia Strait
great vancouver band. thanks for the chords.
Thanks for this! The way it is actually played is much more complicated though...
Hey, I don't know how to edit tabs, so I'm just gonna comment here. Just for the chords, instead of playing an Em7, substitute it with a C/B, I believe that's closer to how it actually sounds. Although its up to you to decide which one sounds better! Sorry haha.
