Intro Verse 2x (w/ Guitar Solo) Verse (vox begin) Intro Verse Intro Pre-Chorus Chorus (2x) 2nd Verse starts with Verse and follows a similar pattern Nearly Lost You consists of only a few main chord progressions. It's a fairly simple song to play. All that's necessary is the basic distortion for the majority of the song and even the solo can be played without any effects. The toughest part is the chord switching in the Intro. This is how I play it... First Finger, 3rd Fret Low E Second Finger, 4th Fret G Third Finger, 5th Fret A Fourth Finger, 5th Fret D I barre the G string with my pinky (4th finger) when the chord jumps. Also, without knowing the song well, it'll be hard to totally organize this song. If you don't have the album, buy it. It's honestly one of the best albums ever made. There are also quick fills between chord switches during the Verse that I haven't tabbed... they're just quick hammers and pull offs. The Solo Riff is the base for the solos that appear throughout the song, whether it's during the verse riff or the solo itself. During the solo, the rhythm guitar plays the verse riff. TABLATURE INFORMATION... The original version of the "Nearly Lost You" tab (by phlegm@cs1.bradley.edu) had the song's basics down. I organized the basics, corrected a few things, and tried to time them fairly accurately. Key: h = hammer-on p = pull-off \ = slide down () = optional/shadow note Tablature by HIV Baby
Let's see here... I think you left out a couple of chords in the verse. It sounds like they play a G and an A in there
somewhere. But other than that, Awesome tab! Now I can play just like the Trees!
your tab is great and sounds like 80% spot on, minus the fact that it's missing the guitar solo in the middle of the song. and i agree that there's a G and A missing at the end of each verse before the pre-chorus (e.g. "Calling me back once again").
