Why – Secondhand Serenade

You can tune B up to C if you want, but it's not necessary.

UPDATE: The real chords are G, C, D, and Em, so if you're going to play and acoustic
version, those chords sounds better, but if it's a cover with piano and electric guitar...
the fifths, gives more energy to the song, in my opinion. You can also alternate

  G C D E G C D Em
e - - - - 3 - 2 -
B - - - - 3 1 3 -
G - 5 7 - 0 0 2 0
D 5 5 7 2 0 2 0 2
A 5 3 5 2 2 3 - 2
E 3 - - 0 3 - - 0

Intro: G

                                  C D
The buttons on my phone are worn thin
G C D
I don't think that I knew the chaos I was getting in.
          E D C
But I've broken all my promises to you
E D C D
I've broken all my promises to you.

G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
G C E D
Why do you do this so easily?
G C
You make it hard to smile because
    E D
You make it hard to breathe
G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
E D
To me..

G
A phrasing that's a single tear,
C D
Iis harder than I ever feared
G C D
And you were left feeling so alone.
        E D
Because these days aren't easy
           C D
Like they have been once before
E D C D
These days aren't easy anymore.

G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
G C E D
Why do you do this so easily?
G C
You make it hard to smile because
    E D
You make it hard to breathe
G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
E D E D E D
To me, to me, to me..

G
I should've known this wasn't real
D
And fought it off and fought to feel
E
What matters most? Everything
C G
That you feel while listening to every word that I sing.
D E
I promise you I will bring you home
             C
I will bring you home.

G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
G C E D
Why do you do this so easily?
G C
You make it hard to smile because
    E D
You make it hard to breathe
G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
E D
To me..

G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
G C E D
Why do you do this so easily?
G C
You make it hard to smile because
    E D
You make it hard to breathe
G C E D
Why do you do this to me?
E D E D E D
To me, to me, to me..

Thats actually an E-minor chord that goes there, this song is in the key of G, so you can change the 5th chords to the real chords

I know it's in the key of G, actually, the real chords, just for the begining are G, C5 and D5, but it's easier to play on fifths. In fact, there should an aclaration about that on the begining of the tab, but UG didn't get that part, check the update I've just submitted. Thanks man
