C'mon! the bass CLEARLY drops an octave on theG-G-F-G-F after the first 2 times in the intro (always during the verse). Just as clearly as it slides up the G on the A string (10-10-8-10-8) those first 2 times. Not to mention the fact that it's in Drop D. So try this after the first 2 times thru the phrase:
I-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-I-5-5-5-5-----------I I-----------------I---------5-5-3-5-3-I

and when the chorus starts it slides from 12 to 0 on the dropped D string.
