Verse 1: The first 2 lines of Verse 1 can be played as [Intro (Part 1): (2x)]

Em C G D
This week, I prayed, one time
Em C G D
My phone, it rang, I put You on the other line
Em C G
And now my thoughts, they drift around
                D Em
My knees remain unacquainted with the ground
         C G D
Unless my faith is put to the test and I am forced to bow
Cadd9 D Em D Em D
Although I’m in this flesh, it doesn’t mean You shouldn’t have the best
C D
From me, from me

Chorus:

Em C G D
Even when my eyes are dry, even when my soul is tired
Em C G D Eb Em
Even when my hands are heavy, I will lift them up to You
Em C G D A
It’s not about how I feel, oh Lord, I am here for You
C D
I exist for You

Interlude:

(Play 2nd Half of Intro, rhythm and electric guitars together)

Verse 2:

Em C G D
I close my eyes but all I see
     Em - Em C - C
Is a background of black, bouncy squiggly lines
         G - G D (STOP)
And this week’s mistakes coming back to mind, but
Em C G D Em
I will lift my voice and make a joyful sound
       C G D
Forget about me, I only get me down
Cadd9 D Em D Em D
Although I cannot see, it doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t sing
C D
To You, to You

(Chorus)

Em C D A C

I exist for You…

Comments:
I tried to play all the other tabs for these songs (different websites too) and
none of them sounded all the way right, or the bridge was missing or something…

This set of chords, I believe is near perfect. I edited it on 4/17/10 and added a
D# to the chorus, which I couldn't previously figure out... So yeah.

Rock 4 Jesus!!

This is an awesome song, with an awesome message.

So to anyone who reads this,

Take some time to actually think about the lyrics of this song. How much time are
you really spending with God? When you go to Church, do the words of the songs
and sermon go in one ear and out the other, or do you actually apply them to your
life? Do you take the time to worship God even when you are physically and
mentally exhausted, or does God come second?

Every time I hear this song, I am reminded what living for God really means, and I
hope the message of “Even When” resounds in you too.

God bless,

/|\
