(To be honest after the 3rd time Im not sure if there is any guitar
 until the chorus, so the last 2 times I play just so Im not sitting
 there waiting :P)

I only play it the other way because in the song I hear some strumming
I mute all the other strings with my index finger while I play the riff
Which gives it a nice sound if you do it properly (I cant even do it
All that great), but if you dont care to add that strumming its much
