Intro:
Riff 1
Riff 2 (x2)
(Riff 2)
She stays pressed against the wall
So she can see the door
(Riff 2)
In case the laughing strangers crawl and
Crush the petals on the floor
(Riff 3)
Alice in her party dress
She thanks you kindly
So serene
(Riff 2)
She needs you like she needs her thanks
To tell her that the world is clean
(Riff 4)
To promise her a definition
Tell her where the rain will fall
(Riff 2)
Tell her where the sun shines bright
And tell her she can have it all
(Riff 2)
Today
(Riff 2)
Today
Riff 3
Riff 2 (x2)
Riff 4
(Riff 2)
Pass the crystal spread the Tarot
In illusion comfort lies
(Riff 2)
The safest way the straight and narrow
No confusion no surprise
(Riff 3)
Alice in her party dressed
She thanks you kindly
Turns away
(Riff 2)
She needs you like she needs her pills
To tell her that the world's okay
(Riff 4)
To promise her a definition
Tell her where the rain will fall
(Riff 2)
Tell her where the sun shines bright
And tell her she can have it all
(Riff 2)
Today
(Riff 2)

Alice
Don't give it way!
Riff 2 (x2)
Riff 4
Alice
Don't give it way!
First line:
"Alice pressed against the wall.."
Line three:
"In case the laughing strangers call.."
Line eight:
"Needs you like she needs her tranks.."
After all It´s about a party girl that gets into drugs and stays there to it´s end.. No vampires or mystery.
And a hint: If you play the G on fret 3 of the e-string instead of fret 8 B-string, you get more time to move on to fret 7, b-string (F#). If you take a closer look at videos of gigs, it is how the Sisters play it.
But as a whole your tab is a very decent piece of work!
According to Andrew Eldritch, Alice is a not-real girl, so her "life" that describes the song is unreal too. And, obviously, everyone could "translate" the lyrics by his own way.
About the tab, another hint is to play the song using a 12-string guitar, as the Sisters did.
Thanx for your comments anyway!
