D(C pos)
The sun has blessed, The rays are gone,
                                                 Bm
And all the kids have left their tears and gone home

Sweet 17, sour 29, And I can't explain myself,
                   A G F#m6
What I'd hoped to find You were all so kind
     Em D
When I was near
 D Em Bm
And if you're still feeling down
 D Em Bm
Then maybe you need me around
 D Em D Em D
To love and hold you Don't say I hadn't told you so
           Em Bm
Maybe you need me around
                                                                A
I had no luck. I had no shame, I had no cause, just 17 days of rain
     Em Bm
And you in my eyes
                    D Em D
Just one more song to slay this earth
 Em D Em Bm
And I can't explain myself Just what it's worth
 Em Bm
     It was all I had,
 Em Bm
     but not all I need
 Em Bm Em Bm
And I can't escape the fact that I still bleed
 D Em Bm
And if you're still feeling down
 D Em Bm
And if this seems way too loud
 D Em Bm
Then maybe you need me around

I had no voice, I had no drive, I had no choice
I've done my time, I had myself, Had my band, I had my love
                A Em Bm Bm Em
Had no hand in watching it all fall apart
 D Em Bm
And if you're still feeling down
 D Em Bm
Then maybe you need me around
 D Em
    To lift and scold you
 D Em
To send you crashing alright now
 D Em Bm Em
    Maybe you need me around
