explain to me how you slide from muted strings to the first fret?

also the little riff at the beginning should go:

-----3---------5-p3p0--
-3-----5-5p3p0---------
---4-------------------
-----------------------
-----------------------
-----------------------

Fantastic tab. And I believe the riff is fine the way it is, it sounds better in the original
