A x02220
E6 022120
Dsus2 xx0230
A E6 Dsus2 A
We'll do it all, everything, on our own.
A E6 Dsus2 A
We don't need anything, or anyone.
A E6
If I lay here, if I just lay here
A Dsus2 A
Would you lie with me, and just forget the world.
A E6 Dsus2 A
I don't quite know how to say how I feel
A E6 Dsus2 A
Those three words, I said too much, but not enough.
A E6
If I lay here, if I just lay here
A Dsus2 A
Would you lie with me, and just forget the world.
E6
Forget what we're told, before we get too old
Dsus2 A
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
A E6 Dsus2 A
Let's waste time, chasing cars, around our heads.
A E6 Dsus2 A
I need your grace to remind me, to find my own.
A E6
If I lay here, if I just lay here
Dsus2 A
Would you lie with me, and just forget the world.
A E6
Forget what we're told, before we get too old
Dsus2 A
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
A E6
All that I am, all that I
Dsus2 A
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
A E6
I don't know where, confused about how as well
Dsus2 A
just know that these things will never change for us at all.
A E6
If I lay here, if I just lay here
Dsus2 A
Would you lie with me, and just forget the world.

I'd rather see a variation of ab in there for the e6
you got the first note right but then just goes downhill from there
The E6 is definately found throughout the song but I wouldn't play it every time. Another chord you could throw in place of the E6 might be Ab2. As long as people don't just strum out quarternotes with the exact key it will song fine. You have to do some improvising. Simple songs take musicianship too.
