Days Without Paracetamol (bass)
by Snow Patrol (off the album "Songs For Polarbears", 1999)

Standard Bass Tuning

One of Snow Patrol's earlier experimentations... Enjoy!

_____________________________________________________________________________
	INTRO[0:00]
_____________________________________________________________________________

No bass

_____________________________________________________________________________
	VERSE[0:38]
_____________________________________________________________________________

This is the basic riff for the verse and chorus; it comes in at "falls asleep..."

G|-----------------|-------------------|
D|-2-2-2-2-5-5-5-5-|---------2-3-2-----|
A|-----------------|-3-3-3-3-------(3)-|
E|-----------------|-------------------|
(RIFF 4 TIMES)

_____________________________________________________________________________
	CHORUS[0:53]
_____________________________________________________________________________

Same as the first verse; played two more times without any vocals though.
(RIFF 6 TIMES)

_____________________________________________________________________________
	VERSE[1:16]
_____________________________________________________________________________

Same as the first verse; it comes in at "round the..."
(RIFF 4 TIMES)

_____________________________________________________________________________
	CHORUS[1:32]
_____________________________________________________________________________

The riff played 4 times, again :P.

_____________________________________________________________________________
	GUITAR RIFF[1:49]
_____________________________________________________________________________

I can't hear any bass over the distorted guitar, but if you like, when the guitar
is playing, play this:

G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-2-2-2-2-5-5-5-5-|
A|-3-3-3-3-5-5-5-5-|-----------------|
E|-----------------|-----------------|

Bass then plays this after each progressive guitar riff:

[1:53] & [2:00]
G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-2-2-2-2-5-5-5-5-|---------5---5---|
A|-----------------|-3-3-3-3---3---3-|
E|-----------------|-----------------|

It's then played one more time entering the verse.

_____________________________________________________________________________
	VERSE[2:06]
_____________________________________________________________________________

Same as the first and second verses; it comes in at "more each day..."
(RIFF 4 TIMES)

_____________________________________________________________________________
	CHORUS[2:24]
_____________________________________________________________________________

Same as the other chorus.
(RIFF 4 TIMES)

_____________________________________________________________________________
	GUITAR RIFF[2:40]
_____________________________________________________________________________

Same as the first one. This time the bass is played at:
[2:44], [2:51] & [2:58]

_____________________________________________________________________________
	OUTRO[3:07]
_____________________________________________________________________________

G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-2-2-2-2-5-5-5-5-|-2-2-2-2-5-5-5-5-| x4
A|-----------------|-----------------|
E|-----------------|-----------------|

On the last couple of repeats of that, slow the tempo down a bit. Finish on an
E (2nd fret D string) and let ring. The song's ended there!

a little confusing to me but i like how you put the time or whatever that the part plays. more tabs should be like that. they would be surprised on how much that helps. thanks.

Thankyou. Yeah, though I realise now as it's literally two riffs I should have probably just said "Play at: 0:24" or whatever. Oh well :), it's the same format as all my tabs so I didn't want to change.

Thanks for the vote and comment ^_^.
