This is my first ever, so please dont bash me too hard... I only started learning guitar
2 months ago, please tell me what you think... Oh, and forgive me if i used "wrong "
terminology.... I think the entire song is based off 3 chords: C-D-Em... and the rest is
variations of them chords..
Maybe this tab will be helpful for someone loke me- a Noob, who really wants to learn
play this song, but :the EASY way"....;);)

Verse:
                         Cmaj7 (Cmaj7 + second string 3 fret)
I'm looking at you through the glass
                       D (Dsus2)
Don't know how much time has passed
            Em (Em7)
Oh, God it feels like forever
            Em (E7) (E7 + first string 3 fret)
But, no one ever tells you
 (Cmaj7)
That forever feels like home
D (Dsus2) Em (E7) (E7
+ first string 3 fret)
Sitting all alone inside your head

            (Cmaj7)
How do you feel?
                D (Dsus2)
That is the question
     Em (E7)
But, I forget
                       (Em7)
You don't expect an easy answer

                   Cmaj7
When something is like a soul
                Dsus2
Becomes initialized
          Em (Em7)
And folded up like paper dolls and little notes
         (Em7)
You can't expect the bitter folks
    Cmaj7
And while your outside looking in
     D (Dsus2)
Describing what you see
      Em (Em7)
Remember what your staring at is me

(All chords repeat through the song, listen to .mp3-you'll get the rest)

Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

Don't know how much time has past

All I know is that it feels like forever

And no one ever tells you

That forever feels like home

Sitting all alone inside your head

Verse 2:
How much is real?
So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins
Contaminating everything
And if that came from the heart
It never did, right from the start
Just listen to the noises (No more silent voices)
Before You tell yourself
It's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen

Chorus:
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Now all I know is that it feels like forever
And no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head

Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Now all I know is that it feels like forever
And no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head

         (Cmaj7) D (Dsus2) Em (Em7)
And it's the stars...the stars...that shine for you
         (Cmaj7) D (Dsus2) Em (Em7)
And it's the stars...the stars...that lie to you

Chorus:
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh, God it feels like forever
But, no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head

(Repeat Chorus)

And it's the stars...the stars...that shine for you
And it's the stars...the stars...that lie to you
Oh, when the stars...Oh, when the stars...they lie

LIke I said in the beginning, if you are only a Noob ( like me :))), you can play this
song with only 2 fingers while keeping your ring finger on the second string (FROM BOTTOM
OF RIFF)on the 3 fret thru ENTIRE SONG!!. I am not sure of all the proper names for
these chords, I learned to play this song by ear, and then found the names for the chords at
http://www.chord-c.com.. It's great resource if you playing by ear and dont know but
wanna learn chord names...
Also.,if you want, you could add pinkie (on and off on 3 fret by ear)... Cause i really
dont know name of chords adding pinkie would make, but it sounds great. :) Hope it
helps. :):):)

I am open to critisizm and any help from you, guys!

Hey man. Just thought I'd say that it's probably easier to try and play the song the normal way - which is just chords for the most part anyway. Also, it will sound much more impressive if you can do the intro as well (which is not just chords) as this will sound closer to the song. The intro isn't actually very hard anyway.

Also, your CMaj7 + 2nd string 3 fret is called a Cadd2 chord. The reason for this is you are replacing one of the C notes in the chord with a D note, which is the 2nd note in the C major scale. Thus, C chord adding the 2nd note of the scale = C add 2. If a normal C chord is X32010 in tab, then Cadd2 is X32030 (but can also be played X32033).

Just my two cents! :)

Just thought I'd add:

The CMaj7 chord you mention in the tab is made in exactly the same way as the Cadd2 chord - you just replace the C note on the 2nd string with another note. For Cadd2 this is the 2nd note in the C major scale, which is D. For CMaj7, you replace the C note with the 7th note in the C major scale, which is a B. This would give you X32000 in tab for CMaj7.

Hope that makes more sense.
