INTRO:
C Em
C G Am Dm C G (|mute
C G Am F C G C
C G Am
You were gone when we found you
Dm C G
You were practically surrounded, you were trapped
C G Am F
But the opposition stalled, their blood ran cold
C G C
When they saw the look of love in your eyes
C G
Maybe the times we had, they weren't that bad
Am
And everything else was part of the plan
Dm C G
We sang: "I don't know where we go from here"
C G Am F
This is the alpha, omega, beginning and the end
C G C
And we all just idolize the dead
C G Am
So you were born (So you were born), and that was a good day
Dm C G
Someday you'll die (Someday you'll die), and that is a shame
C G Am F
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
C G C
And nothing and no one will ever take that away
C G Am
You had a love and that love had you
Dm C G
And nothing mattered, you were fine
C G Am F
And some will complain, they're just bitter, what a shame
C G C
They know that loving and losing is better than nothing at all
C G
Maybe the times we had, they weren't that bad
Am
And everything else was part of our path
C G
Yeah, the times we had, they were not that bad
Am
And everything else, that was part of the plan
Dm C G
And we sang, "I don't know where we go from here"
C G Am F
This is the Alpha (Alpha!), Omega (Omega!), beginning and the end!
And someday soon my friends, this ride will come to an end
But we can't just get in line again.
there's a capo on the 2nd fret
i think it sounds better if you play the Dm as F and if you play the "G" in the first progression (C,G,Am) as a 020010 (so its a G/C kinda thing) and the "G" in the 3rd progression (C,G,Am,F) as an Em.
just throwing in helpful corrections, i believe that is how he actually plays it
A few corrections. First off, though, great tab :D.
Lyrics - The "Alpha, Omega" part isn't the same every time. They say at least once, can't rememeber how many times off the top of my head, "This is the anthem, the slogan, the summary of events" Just a couple little things like that but no biggie.
Chords - Maybe I shouldn't talk because the acoustic version I have is from the acoustic session Tomas did with Alternative Press but from listening to that and going through this a few spots sounded off. The G chord is only played in the second and last line. That's an E7 he plays after the C (x20100). Also after the Dm he plays an Am, not a C chord. Oh and to Ska man. I've played around with both, it's tough to hear what he's actually playing but I've come to favor the Dm. Doesn't make TOO much difference though.
C E7 Am
So you were born (So you were born), and that was a good day
Dm Am G
Someday you'll die (Someday you'll die), and that is a shame
C E7 Am F
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
