I passed out hours ago
I'm sadder than you'll ever know
I close my eyes on this sunny day
Say something once, why say it again

CHORUS

Ce que j'ai fais, ce soir la
Bm C
Ce que j'ai fais, ce soir la
jA
Realisant, mon espoir
G

Okay_________
A G
Ayayayayayayayay
A G
We are vain and we are blind
A G
I hate people when they're not polite

CHORUS

** there is an alternate second verse:

You start a conversation, you can't even finish it
You're talking a lot, but you're not saying anything
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed
Say something once, why say it again

** this is what is sung live on Stop Making Sense.
** the other version is how it was originally recorded

Peace, love, and soul,
Paul Zimmerman

What is listed as the alternate version that was done on Stop Making Sense is actually the way it was originally recorded. The version you have listed as the "original" was done only on The Name Of The Band Is Talking Heads.
To the other commentor, Am, Em, D sounds horribly wrong. The song is definetly A7, Em, G for the verse.
