This is a hybrid version of Al Green, Delbert McClinton, and the Talking Heads
versions. I hope I didn't goof on putting the chords down. I'm new at this
method. Mike James US30139@VM.CC.LATECH.EDU
The chords are fine but why did you try a "hybrid version"? It would have made more sense to just do one version (ie the Talking Heads one) and be assured that the lyrics were correct.
Good tab though :-)
Good tab, nice idea with the hybrid tab. I think that the song stands for itself no matter whose version you emulate, this is a very good outline for all of them. Just add in a few variations on your own, and this is a very fun groove.
I always thought that the verse kinda sounds like the version of Gloria by John Lee Hooker and Van Morrison. JLH's tone is so funky and sounds like water in that song, and it reminded me of this song.
great tab!
