Hey love the tab I think there might be a bass note in the G pattern that you left out but it is a close call, use your own judgment, but it sounds like 4th fret D string is played in the pattern as the bass note.
I think you mean 5th fret. It's the same note (as the open G, of course), but it can sound nice to let it ring (as they do in the original).
