Band: The Fall Of Troy Albm: Doppelganger Song: I Just Got This Symphony Goin' Part: 0:00-0:26 Guitar Interpretation by Andrew Cheong [20060501] ================================================= IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: The entire introduction is finger-tapped. To prevent cluttering up the actual music, I did not include hand/technique notation. Follow these three steps to make sure you are playing it right: 1) For each measure, the highest note on each string is always played by a right-hand hammer-on. 2) The remaining non-open notes are played by a left-hand hammer-on. 3) The open notes are played by a left or right hand pull off, depending on the previous note. For example, in the first measure... 1) On the e-string, "12" is the highest fret, so it is always a right-hand hammer-on. On the B-string, "12" is the highest fret, so it is always a right-hand hammer-on. 2) On the B-string, "3" is not the highest fret, so it is always a left-hand hammer on. 3) All of the open notes are always left or right hand pull-offs. Finally, there is a "%" in some locations. They are just contractions for something I could not fit. Treat the "%" as a grace note before the succeeding note. The fret number of this grace note is "7" if the succeeding note is "15", and "8" if the succeeding note is "17", which are the only two cases. The above three rules apply for grace notes as well: they are played by a left-hand hammer-on. ===================================================================================================== ||1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a | Repeat the following two lines! e||12-0--------------12-0--12-0--------------12-0--|12-0--------------12-0--12-0--------------12-0--| B||------3--12-0--3--------------3--12-0--3--------|------3--12-0--3--------------3--12-0--3--------| G||*-----------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| D||*-----------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A||------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| E||------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| e|14-0-----------14-0-----14-0-----------14-0-----|17-0-----------17-0-----17-0-----------17-0-----|| B|-----%15-0--7--------7-------%15-0--7--------7--|-----%17-0--8--------8-------%17-0--8--------8--|| G|------------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------*|| D|------------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------*|| A|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------|| E|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------|| |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a || e|12-0--5-----------12-0--5-----------12-0--12-0--|12-0--5-----------12-0--5-----------12-0--12-0--| B|---------12-0--5-----------12-0--5--------------|---------12-0--5-----------12-0--5--------------| G|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| e|10-0--7-----------10-0--7-----------10-0--7-----|------10-0--7-----------10-0--7-----------10-0--| B|---------10-0--7-----------10-0--7-----------10-|0--7-----------10-0--7-----------10-0--7--------| G|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a | e|12-0--------------12-0--12-0--------------12-0--|12-0--------------12-0--12-0--------------12-0--| B|------3--12-0--3--------------3--12-0--3--------|------3--12-0--3--------------3--12-0--3--------| G|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| e|14-0-----------14-0-----14-0-----------14-0-----|17--0-------------------17--0-------------------| B|-----%15-0--7--------7-------%15-0--7--------7--|--------8---17--0---8-----------8---17--0---8---| G|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------|------------------------------------------------| |1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a |1 + a 2 + a 3 + a 4 + a |
You did a great job with this. I wasn't totally sure if mine was right, but it sounded okay so i figured i would post it, hoping somebody (like you) would be able to figure out what it really was, so thanks =P. Also, about the two channels, don't they play the same thing until the third time it repeats?
I think your version is more practical, so it's good that both are on the site. Don't take yours off. I'm not sure what goes on between the channels. I tried separating the channels in CoolEditPro but it still wasn't clear. I guess all we can do is guess for now.
If you are finding the jump from the 10th fret down to the 3rd fret, you can, instead of hammering on the 3rd fret of the B string, hammer in the 7th fret of the G string. Less of a jump for your handie =)
