Yeah so.. All of seen of this song on here is inaccurate versions or people claiming you
a capo.. Which you dont (:
So here's my accurate tab for the chords and one of the riffs.
I will attempt to transcribe all of the lead guitar at a later date
Standard tuning - EADGBe
Chords used - A, A/G#, F#m, Bm, E,
C#7, D, B7
For those of you who do not know what i mean by a A/G#, it is purely your box standard A
with a G# bass added. A nice touch when descending to an F#m.
The chord should therefore look like this E A D G B e
4-0-3-3-3-0
A A/G# F#m
Babydoll do you believe they'll catch you when you fall
Bm E D E
And when morning comes the sun is gonna shine
A A/G# F#m
Don't forget your minor keys your half lit cigarette
Bm E
Cause when morning comes god knows that you'll be mine
A C#7 F#m E D
So let me in I'm ready to beg and to sing for my sins
F#m E D
Not leave it to chance and sweet coincidence
B7 E7 D E
Well thats that's just crazy and you know it's true
A A/G# F#m
Well they said you was long gone
C#7 D
I just laughed and said alright
A D E
Bring her home tonight
A A/G# F#m
And I heard you was graciously put on
C#7 D A D
D E
I just laughed and said good night guess it's alright
A A/G# F#m
Babydoll the men who hang like flowers in the hall
Bm E D E
Are asking when your love is gonna show
A A/G#
And who knows why the love your need
F#m
Will always pass you by
Bm E
Well I heard it's true your love is gonna grow
A C#7 F#m E D
So let me know cause I can stay or honey I can go
F#m E D
Just to wherever you tell me so
B7 E7
And find my place there and there I'll stay
A A/G# F#m C#7
Well they said you was burned out I just laughed
D A D
And said come on she's not burned she's just gone
A A/G# F#m C#7
And it took me too long till I found out
D A D
Faces that you know the best oh well I guess
A A/G# F#m C#7
And they laughed when you said you was leaving
D A D
Everybody knows you well except for me can't you tell
A A/G# F#m C#7
And you watched from the wings of the late show roses
D A D
By you're feet of red all for me you said
Babydoll...
From here on the opening sequence is repeated over & over to fade.
(A, A/G#, F#m, Bm, E)
Over this sequence there are two distinctive riffs.
The first of which is tabbed below:
e----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G--2-----2h-4/-6\-4-2-1-----------2-----2h-4/-6\-4-2-1-----------------|
D-----------------------4------------------------------4---------------|
A----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E----------------------------------------------------------------------|
e----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G--2-----2h-4/-6\-2-1-----------1--------------------------------------|
D---------------------2-------4----------------------------------------|
A----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E----------------------------------------------------------------------|
This is played twice and is then followed by a second, different riff which i have still
transcribe.
H = Hammer-on
/ = Slide up
\ = Slide down
Do not hesitate to e-mail me with any errors i have made or with any of this missing
i have yet to transcribe.
Not bad for my first tab ehh? (:

It's a shame you're wrong and you do use a capo.
Check some youtube videos.
The chords look right, but a capo is used
they dony just look right, they sound right too, well done, good tab, more advanced, other versions are there for simplicity i guess, and the videos ya seen on youtube are probably just live acoustic versions, try playing along with the album...
Sounds right to my ears. As far as I'm concerned, that means it's right. There's a good chance that even if they do use a capo in the video, the key here is right anyway.
Also, I find that a much easier way to play the A A/Ab F#m descent is to play the A as 577655, then A/Ab as 477655 then F#m as normal (244222).
