"Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas"
by They Might Be Giants

the sun is a mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace

E -9--11--9--9------------8------------------------------9---11--9-|
B --------------11--9--11---11--9-------------9--9--9-10-----------|
G ----------------------------------11--10-11----------------------|
D -----------------------------------------------------------------|
A -----------------------------------------------------------------|
E -----------------------------------------------------------------|

where hydrogen is built into helium at a temperature of millions of degrees

E --9---11-11-9--9-----------------------------------------------------------|
B -------------------11---9-9--11-9----------9--9--9---9---11--11--9---9-----|
G ---------------------------------11-11-11-------------------------------11-|
D ---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E ---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

any suggestions? i haven't worked on the intro yet.

thanks,
nathan
Ok, this is pretty rough but it sounds good. The rythum in this is bad
if not completely wrong, so ignore it.

The sun is a mass...
---------------------------------------------------|
-1--3--1-1---------------------------------1-3-1---|
------------2---0-2-0-------------------2----------|
--------------3--------3--0-----3--3-3-------------|
----------------------------3-3--------------------|
---------------------------------------------------|

Then vary the same notes to get the right rythum for the words.

The sun is hot... (again for the sun is large)
-----------------|
--3--1-----------|
-------2---------|
---------3-------|
-----------------|
-----------------|

The sun is far away...
----------------|
--3--1----------|
-------2-0---0--|
-----------3----|
----------------|
----------------|

Then the ending bit, sorry don't know the words.

-----------------------------------------------|
------------------------1-1-1-1----------------|
-------0-2---0-2-3---0-------------------------|
----3------3---------------------3-------------|
--3--------------------------------------------|
-----------------------------------------------|
