here's the bass riff for the intro and pretty much the whole song, he(?) just repeats it.

~   this little thing means you hold the note for longer, but you really need to listen 
the song to get the feel for it

i heard it on the Garden State soundtrack and i noticed the bass part was rockin'
so there you have it
