Born Again-Third Day
Album: Revelation
Tabbed by: Sara Walker
Standard Tuning

This is a great Third Day song! The entire song is four chords G, D, Em, and C.
I tabbed out the strumming pattern the way I play it and some of the electric guitar
parts. I think it’s pretty accurate. This is my first tab so I hope it makes sense. Feel
free to rate/comment.

VERSE:
(Continue same strumming acoustic pattern. There are some electric parts over the verses
but I don’t have those tabbed out.)

G D
Well today I found myself, after searching all these years.
        Em C
And the man that I saw, he wasn’t at all who I thought it’d be.
            G D
Well I was lost when you found me here, and I was broken beyond repair.
     Em C
Then you came along and you sang a song over me.

CHORUS:
(Similar acoustic strumming)
                  G D
It feels like I’m born again. Feels like I’m livin’
             Em C G
For the very first time, for the very first time in my life.

PREVERSE: Play G chord

2nd VERSE
G D
Make a promise to me now. Reassure my heart somehow,
         Em C
That the love that I feel, it is more real than anything.
         G D
I have a feeling in my soul, and I pray that I’m not wrong
         Em C
That the life I have now, it is only the beginning.

2nd CHORUS
(Similar acoustic strumming as last chorus. Chords are also played on an electric guitar
with distortion. Play them once and let them ring out.)
                  G D
It feels like I’m born again. Feels like I’m livin’
             Em C G
For the very first time, for the very first time in my life.
                  G
It feels like I’m breathing (feels like I’m born again)
               D
Feels like I’m moving (feels like I’m livin’)
             Em
For the very first time. (for the very first time)
             C
For the very first time. (for the very first time)

BRIDGE:
(Acoustic chords are played for a shorter amount of time)
Distorted electric guitar is something like;
E--3-3-3--|
B--0-0-0--|
G--0-0-0--| ...and so on through the other chords
D--0-0-0--|
A--2-2-2--|
E--3-3-3--|

  *-palm muted
G D Em C
Wasn’t looking for something that was more than what I had yesterday
G D
Then you came to me and you gave to me
Em C
Life and love that I’ve never known, that I’ve never felt before.

LAST CHORUS:
(Acoustic chords stops. Clean electric chords are played once.)
                  G
It feels like I’m born again. (feels like I’m born again)
                D
Feels like I’m livin’ (feels like I’m livin’)
             Em
For the very first time (for the very first)
                   C
I’m livin’ for the first time. (for the very first)

(At “breathing” the distorted electric and the acoustic guitar come back in.)
                  G
It feels like I’m breathing (feels like I’m born again)
                  D
It feels like I’m moving (feels like I’m livin’)
             Em
For the very first time (for the very first)
                   C
I’m livin’ for the first time. (for the very first)
      G
In my life.
