    ______________
/ Thom Yorke / I think this song is about Thom trying to not think of his
/ The Eraser / old girlfriend as well as she's trying to forget about him.
/ The Eraser / But he simply cannot forget her nevertheless as the more and
/_____________/ harder he tries to forget her, the more he thinks of her in a
in a way... you get the point :P

Chords:
These two lead chords are quite weird! They're all androgyny and someway
senseless. They're similar to each other with a tone between; you can call them:

 A7(no3) Emadd11(no5) G6sus2(no5)
 B7(no3) F#madd11(no5) A6sus2(no5)

It's only weird 'cause the bass note is missing, so I'd simply call them:

     C6/G D6/A
   ------------- -------------
   ----------5-- ----------7--
   ---9- or -2-- --10- or -4--
   ---7------5-- ---9------7--
   --10--------- --12---------
   ------------- -------------

In the chorus Em, D and D#6/Bb also appear. The D# is of course the same shape
as the two previous chords and the D is not played at all, but only appears in
the shape of Thom's vocal landscape, so you'll have to handle that by yourself!
Remember that you can always mail me if you need help for the D...

      Em* Eb6/Bb
   ---7--------- -------------
   ---8--------- ----------8--
   ---9--------- --12- or -5--
   ------------- --10------8--
   ------------- --13---------
   ------------- -------------

*I'd boost the Em a little! By the way Em / G / # is also the key for the song.

1st Verse:
C6/G
Please excuse me, but I got to ask
                                      D6/A
Are you only being nice because you want something?
C6/G
  My fairytale arrow pierces
                                               D6/A
Be careful how you respond, 'cause you'd not end up in this song
C6/G
I never gave you an encouragement

And it's doing me in, doing me in
           D6/A
Doing me in, doing me in, doing me in

Chorus:
  | C6/G | D6/A |
      Em D
The more you try to erase me
      C6/G D6/A
  The more, the more
      Em D
  The more that I appear
      C6/G D6/A
  The more, the more
      Em D
The more you try the eraser
      C6/G D6/A
  The more, the more
      Em D
  The more that you appear

  | Eb6/Bb |

2nd Verse:
You know the answer so why do you ask?
I am only being nice because I want someone
  Something
You're like a kitten with a ball of yarn
And it's doing me in, doing me in
Doing me in, doing me in, doing me in

Chorus:
The more you try to erase me
  The more, the more
  The more that I appear
  Oh the more, the more
The more I try to erase you
  The more, the more
  The more that you appear

  No, you're wrong, you're wrong
