THUNDERBIRDS ARE COMING OUT - TISM
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Tyler J
Email: full_metal_orange AT hotmail DOT com

Tuning: Standard

This is the tab for Thunderbirds Are Comming Out, a top song
from a top Australian band, TISM. You may notice it says album version.
I write that because I know that TISM play it differently live and I'm
pretty sure that these two versions are again a little different to the
video clip version
Anyway enjoy (and please excuse, this is my first go at tabbing
anything)
You'll probably have to listen to the recording to see how it
all fits together and for the timing, but this should hopefully get
you on the right track.

The verses can be split into two main parts:

The first bit goes like this:
I was my parent's puppet till my teenage years
       1|---------------------------------------|
       2|---------------------------------------|
       3|---------------------------------------|
       4|10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10--8-8-8-7-------|
       5|10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10--8-8-8-7-------|
       6|8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8---6-6-6-5-------|

Till I rebelled and swaped them for my peers (I used to...)
1|-----------------------------------------------------------|
2|-----------------------------------------------------------|
3|-----------------------------------------------------------|
4|7-7-7-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10--8-8-8---3-----3----3---3----|
5|7-7-7-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10--8-8-8---3-----3----3---3----|
6|5-5-5-8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8---6-6-6---1-----1----1---1----|

The Second bit goes like this:
I had to keep this complusion to myself (this need to...)
1|-----------------------------------------------------------|
2|-----------------------------------------------------------|
3|-----------------------------------------------------------|
4|3--3---3--3----3----3--5---5---6--6-8-----8-----8---8------|
5|3--3---3--3----3----3--5---5---6--6-8-----8-----8---8------|
6|1--1---1--1----1----1--3---3---4--4-6-----6-----6---6------|

Then there's the chorus bit:

  5 4 3 2 1!
sing if you're proud to be plastic now
1|-----------------------------------------------------------|
2|-----------------------------------------------------------|
3|-----------------------------------------------------------|
4|6-7-8-9--10---10--10-----10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-----|
5|6-7-8-9--10---10--10-----10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-----|
6|4-5-6-7--8----8---8------8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8------|

1|-------------------------|
2|-------------------------|
3|-------------------------|
4|-10-10-13-14-15-15-15-15-| (back to above for the 54321! bit)
5|-10-10-13-14-15-15-15-15-|
6|-8--8--11-12-13-13-13-13-|

There are some interludy type bits that go kinda like this:

1|-------|
2|-------|
3|-------|
4|--10---| (over and over again)
5|--10---|
6|--8----|

And even this:
1|-----------------------------------|
2|-----------------------------------|
3|-----------------------------------|
4|--10-10-10-3-3-3-3-8-8-8-5-5-5-5---|
5|--10-10-10-3-3-3-3-8-8-8-5-5-5-5---|
6|--8---8--8-1-1-1-1-6-6-6-3-3-3-3---|

And in some places, if you can be stuffed, try this:
1|----------|
2|----------|
3|----------|
4|--10-8-10-| (over and over again)
5|--10-8-10-|
6|--8--6-8--|

Lyrics:
I was my parent's puppet till my teenage years,
till I rebelled, and swapped them for my peers.
I used to sit for hours all alone,
Without an opinion to call my own.
I had to keep this compulsion to myself,
this need to be like everybody else.
But now I'm outta the closet and I feel free,
'coz I just saw the Thuderbirds on TV!

Yes I've been outted and I'm so happy.
I found a role model just for me.
I think I could be like those Thuderbird guys,
'coz there's less to them than meets the eye.

Chorus
5 4 3 2 1!
Sing if you're proud to be plastic now.
5 4 3 2 1!
        Thunderbirds are comming out.

Now I don't have to worry about a thing,
as long as someone else is pullin' my strings.
My pop star can tell me what to know,
I'll get my political views from a youth radio.
I can join a queue outside a restaurant chain,
I can do the Mexican Wave.
Just tell me what's in and I'll make sure I fit,
just heard me into that mosh pit.

Chorus
