Title: The Kiss/Promentory
Album: The Last of the Mohicans Soundtrack
Transcribed by: Aaron Goss
Email: Kings_Servant@hotmail.com`

This transcription is something I put together originally from a little riff I worked out for a solo
The solo is relatively simple; if it's going to be played with multiple guitars, however, I recommend
a higher positioning rather than the one I wrote below. It's not difficult at all and the sound has a better, rounder quality to it. The version for "Promentory" requires the steady beat from a low, mellow drum, and
sustaining of the lower bass notes before the solo begins.
The transcription below is for three guitars, or two guitars and a bass. Two guitars should have the
tuning: EADGBe
The third should have a "drop D" tuning: DADGBe
I'm not going to put the timing in, it's pretty standard and the soundtrack itself should be consulted for
discrepancies. Each chord lasts for two full measures, with the exception of the F and second C chords
only last one full measure. The last Dm chord is played for two measures before solo begins again. The time signature is in a relatively fast 12/8 time, but may be sped up or slowed down according to preference.

I'm not sure what combination of accoustic/classical/electric guitar would work; I recommend trying them
and seeing which suits best.

The solo line can be played by a solo guitar, with three chords strummed/scuttled in, syncopated with
solo itself:
   Dm C C(alt) F
e|-1--0--0-----1--|
B|-3--1--1-----1--|
G|-2--0--0-----2--|
D|-0--2--2-----3--|
A|-0--3--3-----3--|
E|-1--0--3-----1--|

This can also be played with "Drop D" tuning, slightly altering the chord structure (I recommend
the lower "D" string as much as possible with the thumb to allow full use of the other fingers):
   Dm C C(alt) F
e|-1--0--0-----1--|
B|-3--1--1-----1--|
G|-2--0--0-----2--|
D|-0--2--2-----3--|
A|-0--3--3-----3--|
D|-0--2--5-----3--|

        Good luck!!
