Intro/Verse 1- play Main Riff 4 times.

Pre-Chorus

C#m A
I never thought you were a fool
F# A
But darling look at you
C#m A
You gotta stand up straight

Carry your own weight

These tears are going nowhere baby

A|---0--2---0---2---0--2---0-------------------------------------------------|
E|---0--0---0---0---0--0---0-------------------------------------------------|
I wasnt quite sure how to tab this part. it just goes pack and forth between those two
chords but check out the video for the proper timing. this part is at 1:27

Verse 2- play Main Riff twice

Pre-Chorus

C#m A
And you are such a fool
F# A
To worry like you do
C#m A
I know it's tough
                 C#m
And you can never get enough
                         B
Of what you don't really need now. My, oh my

Chorus

E G#m A G#m
You've got to get yourself together
             B C#m
You've got stuck in a moment
             A E
And now you can't get out of it

E G#m A G#m
Don't say that later will be better
             D7 C#m
Now you're stuck in a moment
          A
And you can't get out of it

Bridge

F#m-this chord is held for a while before bono starts singing
I was unconscious, half asleep
A E-Edge does the same thing here as at the end
the first chorus
The water is warm 'til you discover how deep

F#m
I wasn't jumping, for me it was a fall
        A D B
It's a long way down to nothing at all

Chorus

E G#m A G#m
You've got to get yourself together
             B C#m
You've got stuck in a moment
             A E
And now you can't get out of it

E G#m A G#m
Don't say that later will be better
             D7 C#m
Now you're stuck in a moment
          A
And you can't get out of it

Outro

E G#m A G#m
And if the night runs over
B C#m A E
And if the day won't last
E G#m A G#m
And if our way should falter
D7 C#m A E
Along the stony pass

E G#m A G#m
And if the night runs over
B C#m A E
And if the day won't last
E G#m A G#m
And if our way should falter
D7 C#m A E
Along the stony pass... Its just a moment this time will pass

The little riff Edge does at 1:27 is wrong. The chords he is going between are 000000 and 012000, doing a few hammers and pulls. The chord you labelled D7 should be xxx212 and I think the chord called Abm should be 400000. Sounds better to my ear anyway. I really appreciate this tab. I'm still working through the song, if I find anymore things to recommend I'll pass them on.

I was wondering if I have to change the strings since tuning down the strings would greatly affect the tension of the strings thus affecting the tone of the guitar.
