written bu Duke Ellington
from the album, "Walk Don't Run"
transcribed by Kevin Gardner (code@wam.umd.edu)

notes on this recording
This is a transcription on the version of Caravan found on their
first LP, "Walk Don't Run." It varries in many ways from the live in
Japan '65 version, namely:
#1 It has a tonality of B, the live version has a tonality of E
#2 It features slower, less agressive playing tahn Japan '65
#3 It features an intro and a clossing section that is not on Japan '65
#4 It fetures a lower octave melody section

The song arangement:
the intro guitar lines are double stops using parralell 4ths
the main theme is played twice
theme #2 is played once
then the main theme is repeated with a varriation at the end of each bar
after a four note low octave run the main theme is played an octave lower
with varriations
and finally there is an outro, which is a varraition in the intro
