Don't Listen to the Radio
by The Vines
tabbed by skubz (Grunge on UG)

The intro is basically a bunch of feedback and the palm muted verse.
It would be hard to tell you exactly what to do to feedback like that
(especially since I don't know), but a lot of distortion and putting
your pickups near your amp helps.

Verse (Clean or overdriven with palm muting)

e|------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------2-------------------------------------------------|
D|----------2------7--(strum for a bit------------------------|
A|-(either)-0-(or)-7--until end of line)----------------------|
E|-----------------5-------------------------0--3--5----------|
"Don't listen to the radio, here's something that you ready know."

(I'm having a little trouble hearing exactly what they're playing,
but I think its a palm muted A5 mostly, and the bass is adding in
a few notes. But, to substitute for the bass (if that is afterall,
how they play it) you can add the notes on the low E that I written
above)

(Notes: Sometimes, there is none of that little bass bit at the
end of the line. You really just need to listen for it. Also, I
find it easier playing the A5 with one finger barring the second
frets, you can then fret the bass notes with your middle and
pinky fingers.)

Chrous (Distortion)

   C5 E5 A5
e|------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-5---------------9---------------2--------------------------|
D|-5-(strum)-------9-(strum)-------2-(strum for a bit longer)-|
A|-3---------------7---------------0--------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------|
"Get out 'the way today, yeah!"

(You can make these into barre chords also, it doesn't sound
half bad. You can also substitue this A5 with the one shown above
Song ends on an A5.)

Solo

e|------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------5-|
G|-9-9-9-6-7-6-7-6-------9-9-9-6-7-6-7-6------7-5---7-5-7-8---|
D|-----------------5---------------------5--------7-----------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------|
(Timing is easy, listen to the song and you'll figure it out)

It's an easy song really. I just heard a version (that I read was an
early one, but whatever) this morning and thought that it would be
nice to tab it for the Vines fans (like myself :D) If you have any
