C# F#
It had something to do with the rain
F# F#/F G#
leeching loamy dirt
C# F#
and the way the back lane came alive
F# F#/F G#
half moon whispered "go"
F# G# C# F#(II)
for a while I heard you missing steps in the street
F# G# C# F#(II)
and your anger pleading in an uncertain key
F#(II) C# F#
singing the sound of you that you found for me
C# F#
When the winter took the tips of my ears
F# F#/F G#
found this noisy home
C# F#
full of pigeons and places to hide
F# F#/F G#
and when the voices die
C# F#
I emerged to watched abandoned machines
F# F#/F G#
waiting for their men
C# F#
to return, I remember the way
F# F#/F G#
I would wait for you
F# G# C# F#(II)
to arrive with kibble and a box full of beer
F# G# C# F#(II)
how I'd scratch the empties desperate to hear
F#(II) F#
you make the sound that you found for me
F# /// /// F#/F /// /// G# /// /// A# /// ///
After scrapping with the ferals and the tabby
let you brush my matted fur
how I'd knead into your chest while you were sleeping
shallow breathing made me purr
But I can't remember the sound that you found for me
I can't remember the sound that you found for me
I can't remember the sound
not bad. only a few suggestion, though:
i think it sounds better playing all of those chords normally (without the "#")
but putting a capo on the 1st fret. also, the "F#/F" sounds better as an Em, and the F#(II) sounds good just as a
regular F.
and at the end, the chords are this (with capo on 1st
fret):
----F-------C------------G------------------------Am
But I can't remember the sound that you found for
me
sorry if i sounded like an ass or anything with my suggestions/corrections :) i just thought it sounded better
and was easier to play this way.
pffft... capos are for suckers. I prefer to make my life unneccessary complicated. Alright alright good point.
Hey, how come you stop giving chords after the second verse? The tune changes at that point, so I can't relate it to the chords from the previous verses. Is the final line of chords repeated throughout the rest or something?
