This is the intro to The White Stripes' "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As Told", tabbed by me, Rafael Joson. This is my first submitted tab, since it's an easy song. have all you'll really need to know to get through the song, minus the solo, here. Good luck! e|-------------3-3p2-----0------| B|-2-2p0-------------0h2---2h0--| repeat this little thing once, then go G|-------0h1-------------------2| straight into this: D|------------------------------| A|-----------0------------------| E|-----------0------------------| e|-----0---------------3-3p2-----0---------------------3-3p2----| B|-0h2---2h0-----------------0h2---2h0-----2-2p0--------------2-| G|-----------2p0-1----------------------2--------0h1----------2-| let D|-----------------2------------------------------------------2-| last A|-------------------0-------------------------------0----------| chord E|-------------------0-------------------------------0----------| ring e|----0------| B|0h2---2h0--| repeat G|----------2| D|-----------| A|-----------| E|-----------| Verses: A E D A "And I hate to sound cold" : E A E Chord solo: EEE GGG AAA
on the whole OK. the verses go A E D A, then A E D E, then A E C G A, then softly A E D A, then into the chorus. listen to the song for the right time to change. the chorus also uses a C and a G chord
the little bridge/jam, whatever you want to call it, goes EEE GGG AAA then EEE CCC AAA... repeat
there's a little riff that he does in the intro and right before the start of the verses that i think you have wrong. or at least i think mine sounds a little better. listen to the album to get the timing just right and the feel of it. he may start off with an open G rather than a G#.
