Tuning: Standard Capo 4th Fret

Am Dm G C C/B Am
When they came in the night, they said we'll take what we like,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
I said I'd wish you well, but I’ve been living like hell,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
I don’t have what you need, but I can tell you what I can see,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
I close my eyes and go to sleep I feel the gun press to my cheek

Am
I see the ocean rolling fast I see the grass I see the grass,
Am
I see it swallow up the past I see the grass I see the grass,
Am
I see there hands empty at last I see the grass I see the grass,
Am
and all you ask me all you ask, all you ask, all you ask,
F
what have you got for me?

Am

F
what have you got for me?

Am

    C G
you knew that this day was coming on.

Am Dm G C C/B Am
I woke at first daylight, the suns still shining just as bright,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
cause' yesterday when it seems, the world could end inside a dream,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
I put on boots and went outside, the enemy still shooting wide,
Am Dm G C C/B Am
If they believe what I see, they wouldn’t shoot so thoughtlessly.

Am
I see the ocean rolling fast I see the past I see the grass,
Am
I see I see their hands empty at last I see the grass I see the grass,
Am
I see it swallow up the past I see the grass I see the grass,
Am
and all you ask may all you ask, all you ask, all you ask,

F
what have you got for me?

Am

F
what have you got for me?

Am

C G
you knew that this day was coming so why didn’t you stop running,
Am F
your hands are not too full to get away
C G
this aint gunna stop till something cures you of all you wanting,
Am F
until you loose what you’ll not give away.

C G Am
Its time to make peace with this place
C G Am
call this the end of the race.

There are some little additions and run ups that really add to the song which i'll tab out aswell.

Going From G to C
e|-2---------0--|
B|-2---------1--|
G|-0---------0--|
D|-0---------2--|
A|-2---0-2-3-3--|
E|-3-3-------0--|

The Am after "what have you got for me"
e|-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0--|
B|-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1--|
G|-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2--|
D|-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2--|
A|-0-0-2-2-3-3-2-0--|
E|-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0--|

Also an easier way to play C/B

e|-0-|
B|-1-|
G|-0-|
D|-2-|
A|-2-|
E|-0-|

There you go, the lyrics might be a bit sketchy though.

Heres another tip: If you don't have a Capo just hire someone to bar 4th with
their little finger for the whole song.
