Song: Gold Lion Artist: Yeah Yeah Yeahs Tabbed By: Brad Schantz (stupefy99@yahoo.com) Chords throughout the song are: F# A E A Break (Guitar 1) e|--14----12----------12--------------------------------------------| B|--------------14----------14----12----------------------12^(1/2)--| G|--------------------------------------14----11----14--------------| D|------------------------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------| e|--14----12----------12--------------------------------------------| B|--------------14----------14----12--------------------------------| G|--------------------------------------14----11----14----9---/11~--| D|------------------------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------| Break (Guitar 2) e|------------------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-------------------------/4----2--------/7----4-------------------| E|--2--------4----5--------------------------------------5----4-----| e|------------------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-------------------------/4----2--------/7------------------------| E|--2--------4----5------------------------------5--------5--4--2---| Riff at the end of the song: e|----------------------------------------12------------------------| B|--------------------------14--12------------14--------------------| G|--11--------13--14------------------------------------14--13------| D|------------------------------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------| Note played during outro: e|----14----| B|----------| G|----------| D|----------| A|----------| E|----------|
Just a little extra onto the base chords: When you get to the second A, add an E chord onto the end to form a better bass degression. (If that makes sense)
I'd play that E chord as a C formation barred at the 4th fret, as regular E sounds too low and 9th fret barred E sounds too high. I don't think the added E chord is needed, perhaps stick in a few dampened/dead strums between chords. Other than that great tab.
