Sovereign Over Us
Capo 2

Verse: Em, C, D, G

Em C
There is strength within the sorrow
D G
There is Beauty in our tears
Em C
And you meet us in our mourning
D G
With a love that cast out fears.
Em C
You are working in our waiting
D G
Sanctifying us
Em C
And beyond our understanding
D G
Your teaching us to trust

Chorus: C, G, D, Em
C G
Your plans are still to prosper
D Em
You have not forgotten us
C G D
You're with us in the fire and the flood
       C G
You're Faithful forever
D Em
Perfect in love

        C D G
You are Sovereign Over us

Verse 2: Em, C, D, G

Em C
You are wisdom unimagined,
D G
Who could understand your ways
Em C
Reigning high above the heavens,
D G
 Reaching down in endless grace

Em C
Youʼre the Lifter of the lowly,
D G
Compassionate and kind
Em C
You surround and You uphold me,
D G
And your promises are my delight

Chorus Again.

Bridge : G, C, Am, D

G C
Even what the enemy means for evil
You turn it for our good
You Turn it for our good
and for your glory

G C
Even in the valley you are faithful
You're working for our good
You're working for our good
and for your glory

For the sake of flow I have decided to sing the first line of the bridge (which is one syllable too cumbersome) to sing, "Even what our foe means for evil." Same meaning, but an easier flow.

I disagree... I think the flow of the song is perfect the way it is. Besides Foe is an old word and this is a new song. just doesn't work in my opinion.
