VERSE 1
********
F#m D F#m D
You told the man in the Broadway Hotel
E D C#m D
Nothing was stranger than being yourself
F#m D F#m D Bm
And he replied, with a tear in his eye
E D
Love was a rollaway
E D
Just a cajole away
E D
Mist on a summer's day
C#m D
Nothing was clear
E D
Love was a smile away
E D
Just a defile away
E D
I sought it every way
C#m D
No-one came near.

--------------------------------------------------------
VERSE 2
********
F#m D F#m D
You asked the man for a room with a view
E D C#m D
Nothing was said as he stared at his shoe
F#m D F#m D Bm
Then he replied as he gave you the key
E D
Love was a rollaway
E D
Just an unfold away
E D
That's all there is to say
C#m D
No-one came near.

--------------------------------------------------------
CHORUS
*******
A G
Alone in your room you hide
       F#m
as the night rolls by
       E
In the street outside
        A G
And you feel over the words he said
          F#m E C#m
Till they turn to rain all around your head.

--------------------------------------------------------
VIOLIN SOLO 1 - F#m D F#m D
************ E F#m C#m D
                F#m D F#m D Bm
                E D E D E D
                C#m D
--------------------------------------------------------
CHORUS
*******
       A G
You're seeking a hideaway
          F#m
Where the light of day
        E
Doesn't touch your face
      A G
And a door-sign keeps the world away
F#m
Behind the shades
        E C#m
Of your silent day.

--------------------------------------------------------
VERSE 3
********
F#m D F#m D
You made your home in the Broadway Hotel
E D C#m D
Room service came at the push of a bell
F#m D F#m D Bm
And the man said as he put down the tray
E D
Love was a stealaway
E D
Just a reveal away
E D
I tried to find a way
C#m D
Nothing was clear
E D
Then as he turned away
E D
You asked the man to stay
E D
He was there all the day
C#m D
No-one came near.

not sure why someone keeps changing the transpose up a note and putting it as a Ukulele, and taking my name off, is'nt that stealing someones tab, i thought that was wrong to do that, i have noticed that on a lot of my tabs.? do your own tab who ever is doing it, you sad lazy person.
