I. Father Section

[Intro]

C

[Verse 1]

               C Am
I hope your dreams, don't feel small
              F G
and when the wind begins to rise, I hope your mast stands straight and tall
                    C Am
these are fragile times, we blur the lines
            F G
In the unlikeliest of places, we all find a little grace
                 Am G F
…and there's no wrong way home

[Verse 2]

             C Am
One winter coat, two wild eyes.
         F G
All the unspoken love that you're carrying inside
                  C Am
these ain't the calmest days, and you like it that way
      F G
But won't you rest a while in the storm’s peaceful eye

[Chorus]

      F C F C
It ain't where you been, but where you're going to
      F C G
It's not where you're from, but where you belong
                Am G F
and there's no wrong way home
             Am G F
there's no wrong way home

[Verse 3]

               C Am
The spiraled shell, the golden mean
      F G
you see you’re just the sum of those who've been
                     C Am
down this road before… you were expecting more
          F G
It won’t hurt to rest a while…the soft shoulder by your side.

[Chorus]

      F C F C
It ain't where you been, but where you're going to
       F C G
It's not where you're from, but where you belong
                 Am G F
and there's no wrong way home
             Am G F
there’s no wrong way home

II. Daughter Section

[Verse 4]

                     A F#min
One braid for laughter, and one braid for fear
            D E
I tied ‘em both together, cuz it was always windy here…
                      A F#min
and don’t take this wrong, but I never knew
                        D E
were you watching over me, or was I watching over you..
        D A D A
It ain't where you been, but where you're going to
      D A E
It's not where you're from, but where you belong
              F#min E D
and there's no wrong way home

III. Bridge

[Verse 5]

                A F#min
So I hope your plans accounted for rain
               D E
I hope you stashed a few dreams where you might find them once again
                     A F#min
these are the best of days, it never feels that way
              D E
but its in the rearview mirror, that these things become clearer
                F#min E D
and there's no wrong way home
            F#min E D
there's no wrong way home?
