(mute the D string for the E's and D#'s)

 C# A
I wrote the words to this song on the back of a photograph
   E
 Behind your back it goes
 C# A E
A little something like this is way too big to miss
  C#
I got a letter in the mail
            A E C#
The sender failed to let me know where it came from
                          A B
Opened it up and sure enough there we were arm in arm again

 [Intro part one]

 C# A
I know it's small but my last call's been called
 E C#
 half an hour ago
                               A
I know it's late but do you think you could at least
 E C#
 fix it for me
                        A
Then I'll go I'll go alone I swear
    E C#
 I won't tell a soul
                                    A B E
I'll drink this beer and write in fear of a song everybody hates

 CHORUS:

 E (continued)
 Armageddon, let the light in
 C# B A
Before we say goodbye give us something to believe in
 E
 Armageddon, we're not begging
     C#
For too much I don't think
        B A
Need a goodbye kiss before we sink

If you wanna rock this acoustically, you can capo the 4th fret. You play the same chords, just with easier fingerings.

Capo 4, finger as follows:

Intro:
C-A#-F
C-C/B-G

Verses:
A#-F-C
A#-F-G-C

Chorus:
C-A#-G-F

Major/Minor - it's a song played with power chords, it doesn't really make much difference.
