Song: Over And Out
Artist: Alkaline Trio
Tabbed by: Rightclicked

This is a song off of their 2008 albulm "Agony and Irony". I'm not 100% of the lyrics
the end, but don't let that affect your playing...

         A
Over and out she said

E
From a hospital bed

F#
For what it's worth it doesn't hurt

       D
Don't cry

          A
Over and out he said

E
With a .45 to his head

F# D
The war has taken everything from me

D
It's all I've seen so..

(Chorus)

A
Run for cover as fast as you can

E
We're fighters and lovers

E
And enemies and friends

F#
And pens and knives apologize

      D A
For leaving you tonight

A
Leaving you tonight

(This next section is instrumental, play the chords in this order: A E F# D)

          A
Over and out he sighed

E
It seems I've run out of time

F#
Please tell my wife

                       D
I loved her more than life itself

A
Over and out she sang

E
As the telephone rang

F#
There's no pain

                 D
No answering no more, no so..

(Chorus)

A
Run for cover and you'll find us there

E
We'll take out the anguish

Make it disappear

F#
With hand grenades and napalm flames

     D
I'm leaving you tonight

(Bridge)

Let this candle burn till you get home (The phrase of chords is E, F# A, E, D)

E, F# A, E, D
Never forget your face, never lose hope

Tonight

(Chorus)

A
Run for cover and you'll find us there

E
We'll take on the anger

Make it disappear

(over and out)

F#
With razorblades

D
We're softly serenading you

I think the F# should be F#m and the Bridge is a little iffy, but otherwise sounds alright.

I agree, it's F#m, thanks for the correction.

I finally see where you were going with the bridge, I was just confused what you played during the lyrics, but I'm pretty sure it's just the D.
