                             Taro - Alt-J
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Wade Davis
E-mail: Wldavis31@aol.com

This is the only tab out there that actually matches exactly what Joe Newman does,
and for this reason I disabled any editing on this tab.

Other tabs might be easier, but personally, I find the way he plays it to be
the easiest and most dark sounding, which matches the emotion of the song anyways.

Enjoy, and have fun telling the tale of Gerda Taro and Robert Capa -
(http://genius.com/Alt-j-taro-lyrics).

Tuning: Standard

Intro:
There's technically two parts playing here, so if you have another guitarist
or pianist or whatever, the second part is just this same riff but played
one beat after the first part has played.

The letters above each fret is where your left-hand finger should be placed.

E|10-------8-------------3--------1------------------------------------------| x2

Chorus:

 Guitar two:
Most true way to get the sound Gwil Sainsbury achieves on the track is to use
a roll of clear duct-tape and tap on the 15th fret of the E and then B
strings, however, the same effect can be gained also through simply turning up
the volume on the second guitar and tapping with the wide end of a pick.

Just put your index finger on the 10th fret of the B string and
your ring finger on the 13th fret of the e string and just tap on the 15th
fret of each one when it says to in the tab.
    i r r r r r r r r r r r i i i

G|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| x4

*Verse one x3*
"3:10 pm, Capa pends death, quivers, last rattles, last chokes
All colors and cares glaze to gray, shriveled and stricken to dots
Left hand grasps what the body grasps not"

*Bridge*
"Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh le photographe est mort"

*Verse two x3*
"Three, point, one, four, one, five, alive no longer my amour
Faded for home May of '54
Doors open like arms my love, painless with a great closeness

*Bridge*
"To Capa, to Capa, Capa dark after nothing, re-united with his leg
 And with you, Taro-"

*Verse three x2*
"-Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh"

*Bridge x2*
"Taro-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh"

  No guitar:
"Do not spray into eyes, I have sprayed you into my eyes"

*Chorus x6*

Tiny insert:

  o o m i r r m o o m i m m
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------3--3---------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------2-----------0----0-----2----------------------------------------|
D|0----0--3-----------3----------3-----3--3----------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
 "Hey Taro!"

*Chorus x16*

Then slowly fade out the guitar parts and lead to strings, in which case if you have
strings that's rad, but if not just end the song around there.

And there you go! That's Taro by Alt-J, the song of star-crossed lovers who both
died as photographers in war.

Great tab, I appreciate the effort and the fact that it is on Standard Tuning, sounds great, just last chord of th intro should be major instead of minor I think
