I was lucky enough to hear Jimmy Webb (the guy who wrote this song) perform it in Dallas, at a retrospective of his work (Wichita Lineman, Galveston, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, McArthur Park, etc.). I noticed that the other TABS here had simplified the chords, omitting some of the changes. One of the hallmarks of Jimmy Webb's style is his sparse chord structure...it's generally not going to yield great results if you substitute chords. When he writes a C Major 7th, he MEANS "C Major 7th" and not "C" "C 69" or anything else. So I tried to get this version as close to the way the song first appeared, on Art Garfunkel's album, "Angel Clare."
