[Verse 1]
E
E E
If the trials at hand are really getting you down
          B
You had a close call
                          A
I didn't even see it, then another one
                            E E
I hardly believed it at all
E
What the writers say - it means shit to me now
B
Plants and animals
                             A
We're on a bender when it's 80 degrees
                              E
The end of December - what's going on?
Ab A F# B A E
OOH Only for you and me

[Verse 2]
E
In a showing of hands, "Who's going back to the South?"
                B
Where hungry necks that I know
                             A
(been running a blender in a lightning storm)
                                 E E
Are disguised as a blessing I'm sure
E
And knowing ahead, there comes a fork in the road
B
Pants have got to go
                           A
We're on an island on the fourth of July
                        E E
Looks like the tide is going home
E
In time I find a little way to your heart
           B
Now to the general store for nothing specific
         A E
Going to wash my bones in the Atlantic shore
Ab A F# B A E
OOH Only for you and me

I'm playing this transposed up 3 half steps because my fingers are too small for bar chords, and I noticed the B chord sounds much better as B7. Not sure what that would make the chord in the original key (music theory didn't exactly stick when I learned it).
