F C Em F C Em F

                C Em F
Like an ancient day and I'm on trial

                   C Em F
Let them seize the way, this once was an island
    G C F C
And I could not stay for I believed them
G C F C F C Em F C Em F
Left for the lights always in season

Impassable night in a crowd of homesick
Fully grown children, you'll leave the lights
Your family may not wait, Sir, keep on believing
Our parents rue the day, they find us kneeling

G C F C
Let them think what they may, for they've good reason
G C F C G C F C G C F C
Left for the lights always in season

hey if anyone is actually playing this on the ukulele, he plays some of those "C" chords holding the bottom (A) string on the 7th fret. it gives it that high ring, you can definitely hear it on all the Cs that come after the Em and Gs.

you can try to see in this Take Away Show video

I think it sounds slightly better (and is easier) with a capo on the 5th fret (and so transposing the song to G: i.e. C->G, F->C, G->D, and Em->Bm). Then the pitch matches a little better with the recorded song.
