Intro: B F# B F# (2x)

B F#
Look at the kid from school
               B F#
He’s teaching mamas and papas how to be a little cool
              B F#
He’s changing fashion, the way he dress
    B F#
The tracksuits are old, and the hoody’s way too moody
       Eb Bb
For a kid with the will to funk
    B F# C#
He dances in secret; he’s a part-time punk

B F#
She’s getting off the plane
               B F#
She wants to write a thesis on the population underprivileged
     B F#
The kids fighting up the lane
      B
Shop lifting, just drifting
          F#
Like The Switchblade And The Cross
                 Eb Bb
But if there’s trouble she’s got the moves
       B F# C#
She’s taking an elementary class in Kung fu

   B F#
I left my washing in the launderette
         B F#
You can put some money on it, you can place a little bet
           B
That when I see my washing
     Eb Bb B F#
The black will be grey and the white will be grey
          C#
But the blues are still blue

B F#
I’m crying out for my mum
         B F#
If the malady don’t go away we’re in a little trouble
       B F#
With the boss of the company
      B F#
I’m a singer, a swinger I’m a layabout but laying on
   Eb Bb
The dock in the lazy sun
     B F# C#
Will never quite relegate me to a bum

   B F#
I left my lady in the launderette
         B F#
You can put some money on it, you can place a little bet
           B
That when I see my lady
     Eb Bb B F#
The black will be white and the white will be black
          C#
But the blues are still blue

Base do solo:
B - C#
B - F# - B - F# - B
Eb - Bb - B - F# - C#

B F#
Baby, I love your face
            B
I’ve been creeping round this town because…
        F#
Well, creeping’s just my way
           B F#
But with a little wink I’ll be there
          B F#
I’ll be excited for a week, but then excitement starts to fade
            Eb Bb
I know your young, but you’re out of touch
       B F# C#
You’re French, your vocabulary’s not quite formed

   B F#
I left my homework in the launderette
        B F#
I got a letter from my mamma which my stoopid dog has ate
              B
I hid behind the fence
               Eb Bb B F#
Here comes the deputy head with the bark of a bulldog
         C#
He’s not making much sense

   B F#
I left my lady in the launderette
         B F#
You can put some money on it, you can place a little bet
           B
That when I see my lady
     Eb Bb B F#
The black will be white and the white will be black
          C#
But the blues are still blue

THANK YOU!! I've wanted to play this song for ooooh so long.

About that Eb though... could I just use a Em barchord on the seventh fret of A? It sounds pretty similar, and your Eb chord sounds off to me. Great tab though, thanks a lot.

I've been playing this song for awhile now, just using the bar chord, and I've played along quite a few times, and it sounds good. Now on to the solo... :P

The C does a little flourish bit too, in the chorus
