VERSE
  E A
A stroke at the age of 24
              A E
It could have been a brilliant career
         C#m B A
Painting lines in a school that was too well known
         C#m B/D# A/E
Painting lines with a friend that had gone before
    F#/E B
She challenged everyone to a fight
        A E/G# B
But the prefects all backed down
          A E/G# B
And they ran her out of town
           A E/G# B
Cause she drank and swore and spoke
        A E/G# | F# | % | % | % |
Out of turn, she was the village joke

VERSE
          E A
She had a stroke at the age of 24
              A E
It could have been a brilliant career
        C#m B A
Getting clients to finance her strategies
        C#m B/D# A/E
Filling time in on Safeways on Saturday
    F#/E B
She wears the clothes of an emperor
        A E/G# B
But her paintings are a sham
            A E/G# B
And they're going for a grand
         A E/G# B
When the dealers come to view
        A E/G# [F#]
Do they ever see the real you?

VERSE (+ coda)
         E F#m
He had a stroke at the age of 24
              A E
It could have been a brilliant career
        C#m B A
Selling lies to the boys with the old Dansettes
            C#m B/D# A/E
Pulling the wool, playing the fool, it's no wonder that
F#/E B
He is dribbling spit tonight
        A E/G# B
And the one he sent away
        A E/G# B
Was the only one who stayed
        A E/G# B
With a spoon and a decent book
            A E/G# B
And you can tell by the way she looks
      A E/G# B
He is sorry and resigned
      A E/G# F#
As he wets himself for the final time

Thank you for your comments, but I don't think they are helpful at all, are they? I just used the tab to play along to the original and must say, the chords are fine and the tab sounds extremely close to what is played on the recording. So, what exactly is it that you "don't like" about the tab? Thanks for your help!
