     HOUSE - Ben Folds Five
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Jimmy Lynch
Email: jimmy.lynch@live.com.au

Tuning: Standard

Song: House
Artist: Ben Folds Five

Submitted by Jimmy Lynch

G Dm
There's a sign up in the yard
Am C	D
And the furniture has gone
G Dm
Filled with fettered memories
Am C	D
Unworthy of a song

Em D C D	C
Flashes of sad and angry faces come and go,
Em D C D C
Could anyone live between those walls and never know?

D Am
And I could go there, but I'm not going,
C Am
Pulse is slowing, no, I'm not nervous anymore
D Am
I've had the nightmares, I've seen some counselors,
C Am
But I'm not going back up in that house again.

G	Dm	F	C
G	Dm	F	C

G Dm	Am C
It's just like waking up in that second and a half
G Dm
The bliss of not remembering
Am C D
Before it all comes flooding back

Em D Am C
So what do I do as all these voices come and go?
Em D Am C
Could anyone live inside my head and never know?

D Am
And I could go there, but I'm not going,
C Am
Pulse is slowing, no, I'm not nervous anymore
D Am
I've had the nightmares, I've seen some counselors,
C Am
But I'm not going back up in that house again.

G	Dm	F	C

In that house again

G	Dm	F	C

D	F	Am	D

D Am
I'm not sorry for what I'm feeling,
C Am
Blow the walls out, bring the ceiling to the ground.
D Am
I've had the nightmares, seen the counselors,
C Am
I'm not going back up in that house again.

G	Dm	F	C

The bridge does not sound correct, it sounds much better like this.

Em Bm7 Am C
Flashes of sad and angry faces come and go,
Em Bm7 Am C
Could anyone live between those walls and never know?

Those Cs near the end need a grace note in the form of an F#.
The chorus also needs some work, but other than that, very well organized and accurate tab.
